WEEK 1 – Energy & Electricity (Paper 1 Core)

• Series & parallel circuits
• Mains electricity & safety

Focus: Strong calculation accuracy + circuit reasoning.

WEEK 2 – Particle Model & Atomic Structure

• States of matter & internal energy
• Density & specific heat capacity
• Atomic model development
• Radiation (alpha, beta, gamma)
• Half-life & nuclear equations

Focus: Graph interpretation + practical evaluation questions.

WEEK 3 – Forces & Waves (Paper 2 Core)

• Motion & Newton’s Laws
• Graph skills (distance-time & velocity-time)
• Momentum & pressure
• Wave properties & wave speed equation
• Electromagnetic spectrum
• Refraction & sound

Focus: Multi-step calculations + clear written explanations.

WEEK 4 – Magnetism, Space & Full Consolidation

• Magnetic fields & motor effect
• Transformers & National Grid
• Space physics (Separate) / Mixed revision (Combined)
• Required practical masterclass
• Mock Paper 1 & Paper 2 practice
• Detailed correction and feedback sessions
• Exam timing strategy

Focus: Extended responses, data interpretation & exam confidence.

Homework & April Strategy

After each class:

• 12–15 exam questions
• 1 extended 6-mark question

Weekly:

• 1 timed mini-paper

Final Week:

• Full Paper 1 + Full Paper 2 practice
